He is the sixth child in a family of ten children. Father Peter attended comprehensive school and high school in his hometown after which he began his noviciate in the religious community of priests and brothers of the Sacred Heart of Jesus (SCJ) in Pliszczyn near Lublin.\u00a0After one year as a novice he continued to study philosophy and theology at Stadniki near Krak\u00f3w. He received his master&#8217;s degree in moral theology. He was ordained in June 1986. His first parish was the parish of W\u0119gl\u00f3wka in the mountain region of southern Poland. From there he was transferred to the parish of Chmiel\u00f3w in central Poland. As a priest he has mainly worked with children and adolescents.<br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #ffffff;\">\u00b7<\/span><br \/>\nFather Peter arrived in Finland on July 21<sup>st<\/sup> 1991. He started as an assistant priest at Holy Cross Parish in Tampere where he also started his studies in the Finnish language and became acquainted with the Finnish culture and society. After a short period of time father Peter became an assistant parish priest of the wide-spread Holy Cross parish and later parish priest. He was assigned by the bishop to be the parish priest of the St. Bridget and Blessed Hemming&#8217;s parish in Turku on January 1<sup>st<\/sup> 2003.
